Can I buy this service for someone else?
Yes! In fact most people who are interested in this service are the children or even grandchildren of someone who needs their story written.
Often times people don’t realize how important their life stories are, or they don’t think anyone cares, meaning that it is up to their friends and family to make sure they are heard.
How long does it take to complete a book?
Projects generally take 2-4 months.
We do understand there is often urgency when it comes to older family members, or those with fragile health. In those cases, we prioritize interviews early in the process to ensure their stories are safely recorded right away.
What does the final product look like?
Our books are profesionally designed, and profesionally printed. Resulting in a high quality book that will stand the test of time.
They are printed in full color on high quality paper. We have a lot of different design options, but one of the most popular is our clothbound style, thanks to it’s personal feel. It’s the kind of book you’ll want to display on your coffee table, gift to family, and pass down to future generations.
What if my family member lives in another state or country?
We work remotely all the time!
Interviews can be done by phone or video call, and materials can be shared digitally or mailed. We’ll guide you through every step, no matter where your loved one is located.
Can I order multiple copies for my family?
Definitely!
The first book is included in the package, but we can print as many copies as you like!
Will the book be officially published?
Yes, if you’d like it to be.
While many clients choose to keep their book private for family only, we also offer an optional publishing service. That means we can register your book with an ISBN, and make it available to the public, so anyone, including friends or family, can buy a copy of their own!

Hearing the story in the words of a great grandmother is precious. And though we love the stories when we first hear them, sometimes the voice, the timeline, the details, and the stories themselves get lost.
We love to listen, to interview, to research, and to carefully recreate the timeline in a family history. The final result is a time capsule of your history with restored and recovered photos and memories that you can revisit and share for many generations with an archival publication.
Each family history we capture and recreate is completely unique. A caring interviewer will sit with your family members, sometimes for an entire day or two, and listen to stories, ask questions, and gain a fresh perspective while recording the entire process. The notes and images we scan become the first draft of a story. Your family gets to review the draft and then the exciting process of researching, developing the story, and adding a timeline begins. Add your version, memories, or additional details, along with enlightening opinions, and perspectives into the tale. Provide supporting images and valued memories.
Finally the stories and images are lovingly crafted into a professionally printed book with high quality archival paper and print. Choose a cloth cover with gold leaf, or a printed photo image to introduce this unique and custom family history to the world.
